About Tiny Ass Art Gallery
Who Are We?
We are a group of 15 talented (ahem, if we don't say so ourselves) women artists who got together at the behest of Isabel Cisterna, Director of Neruda Arts, a not-for-profit arts and cultural centre in St. Jacobs. Our gallery abode is SUPER tiny, which got us into this tiny, adorable mess of ideation and art making. We are all on a path of artistic growth and have a bit of a penchant for tiny stuff too. We have a list of 14 values which we can send to you if you want. But suffice to say, we are highly committed to artistic growth opportunities, our mission, extraordinary ideas and community collaboration. We are excited to invite you along for this crazy (slightly unhinged?) ride.
Our Collection
What can you expect in our collection of art? You will see miniature original artwork in 1:12 scale (for those of you who are obsessed and delighted with official miniature-scale works). You will see tiny original artwork up to 6" x 6" in size. You will see "middling" and "giant" works that don't explore 'tiny' in scale, but DO explore 'tiny' in subject matter or process. You will just have to visit to see what we mean.
Our Non-Stop Ideas
So here's the thing. We are not just a gallery with 4 walls (even though they are really cute walls within a cute gallery). We are an experience. You can count on the fact that we will always be doing interesting things to draw you into our tiny world or to magnetize us into yours. Ideas will be plentiful, including events, special themed exhibits, clubs, workshops/programming, community collaborations and so much more.
